This is a continuous loop video to demonstrate the Capacitor
sensor detecting the hand of Lara Ariel as her hand approaches the header of
the car door. Her hand has a high dielectric constant and thus
changes the capacitance of the sensor. When the sensor detects the
presence of her hand the electric motor of the car door is programmed
to reverse. |

This continuous loop video is an enlarged section of
the the Capacitor sensor detecting Lara Ariel's finger as it approaches the
header of the car door window seal. The sensor is imbedded in the
header of the window seal. When the sensor detects the near proximity
of the finger (adjustable from 0 to 10 cm) the motor is programmed to
reverse preventing the finger from being squashed by the unintentional closing
of the car door window. |
